Buddha image wearing glasses at Krok Krak Temple

Amazing Thailand at Samutsakorn Province ,the only one Buddha image wearing the glasses at Krokkrak temple .The small wooden shrine locate along Thacheen river where the well-known of the holy buddha image or “Luang Por Poo“   place there.


Many people pay respect to Luang Por Poo because in the history local people or villager Mahachai infected the conjunctivitis and they didn’t know how to treatment ,so they pray to the holy Buddha image to help them for fighting with this outbreak .Miracle ! their pray came true , the conjunctivitis disappear from this area .Most of people always gilded at only the eyes of the buddha image with a small golden foil by a respect with the strong believe to protect the conjunctivitis and other dangerous .So the big dean of temple use a clever trick to stop this behavior of villager by wear a glasses to buddha image .This is a reason that Buddha image wearing the glasses at Wat Krok Krak  and there is an big  Fair to cerebrate Luang Por Poo in January every year.
